FAQ
- Will this exactly match what my printer produces?
- This uses a standard, simplified RGB-to-CMYK formula. Real printers apply their own color profiles (ICC profiles), so treat this as a close approximation rather than an exact match.
- Why does RGB (0,0,0) convert to K=100 instead of some CMY too?
- Pure black is represented most efficiently using only the K (key/black) channel — this avoids wasting cyan, magenta, and yellow ink to produce a color you can get from black alone.
