Image Alt Text Checker

Paste a page's HTML source to find every image missing alt text.

Open the page, right-click → View Page Source (or Ctrl/Cmd+U), select all, copy, and paste it here.

Result

Paste HTML and analyze to see results.

How to use it

  1. 01Open the page and view its source (Ctrl/Cmd+U).
  2. 02Copy the full HTML and paste it in.
  3. 03Click Check images.

Is my file uploaded?

No — this checks HTML you paste in yourself. The tool can't fetch arbitrary URLs directly because browsers block cross-site requests (CORS) for security, so it never sends your data anywhere either.

FAQ

Why does alt text matter?
It describes an image to people using screen readers, and to search engines that can't "see" the image content — both for accessibility and for image search visibility.
Should every image have alt text?
Purely decorative images can use an empty alt (alt="") to signal screen readers should skip them. This tool flags both missing and empty alt attributes so you can decide which images genuinely need description.
